Covenant's Adult and Children's Choirs under the direction of Sarah Batchelor will present a service of special music. They will be joined by harpist Janet Witman and oboist Laura Yawney.

The Chancel Choir will be sharing several hymn arrangements by John Rutter, a setting of My Shepherd Will Supply My Need by Mack Wilberg, one movement from the Rutter Requiem, Gabriel Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine, an arrangement of the hymn tune BEACH SPRING by Craig Courtney and several other selections featuring harp and oboe.

Janet Witman is Principal Harpist for the Kennett Symphony and has appeared as a soloist with the Allentown, Hilton Head and Savannah Symphonies. She was resident harpist for the DuPont Co. for 20 years and is founder and director of America’s only continuously performing harp orchestra, the Brandywine Harp Orchestra. She is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and West Chester University. Her arrangements of harp solo and ensemble music are sold worldwide.

At Temple she is in the New School Wind Quintet and serves as principal oboe in the Concert Orchestra.
