Pastor Janet Announces Her Retirement
After 36 years of serving in appointive ministry, the Rev. Janet K. Hess has announced she is re-retiring at the end of the conference year. She first retired in 2005, but soon answered the Bishop’s call to serve the CC Hancock Church in Springfield. Now, after 14 years of service at Hancock (one of which was split with Covenant), she has decided the time is right to again retire at the end of the conference year.
The members of both CC Hancock and Covenant wish Pastor Janet all the best in this new phase of life. Before her re-retirement becomes official, we will celebrate her ministry among us.
Thank you, Pastor Janet, for your years of faithful service to Christ through the ministry of the United Methodist Church!
