Bringing in Donations for SBOC? Here’s a List of Urgently Needed Items.
Our local food banks to a pretty good job of knowing their customers and their needs. They also keep the pulse of what they’ve got coming in. And they know what’s needed to fill the gap. Here are the latest lists of urgently needed items from the food banks we support. If you are going to pick up some items to donate during the Souper Bowl of Caring food drive, please consider some of these.
Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry
- Canned pineapple in juice
- Canned chicken
- Canned tomatoes of many varieties – diced, crushed, sauce, paste
- Canned salmon
- Boxed pasta
- Canned mixed vegetables (preferably low sodium).
Shorter AME Food Bank
- Cereal
- Sugar
- Flour
- Cooking oil
- Tuna fish
- Jelly
- Pasta
- Spaghetti sauce
- Rice
- Fruit cups
- Paper products (paper plates, paper towels, toilet paper, freezer bags, and sandwich bags)
We’ll make sure these items go where they’re needed.
Donations can be left in the entrance to Wesley Hall at any time starting Saturday, January 28th.
