Souper Bowl of Caring

Tackle Hunger

Covenant members provide both leadership and muscle for the Delco Souper Bowl of Caring, a massive food drive in February during which food donations are collected from local households, then sorted, packed and shipped to local food pantries.

In 2010, churches and civic organizations in Delaware County collected over 22,000 food items. In 2011, we collected over 24,000 food items. In 2022, the community effort broke records again, bringing in more than 54,362 units for eight local food pantries - the largest SBOC collection in Pennsylvania!  We actively strive to improve collection rates as well as civic participation each year.

We want to do more to fight local hunger every year!  Please help those among us who are less fortunate by joining the Souper Bowl of Caring effort at Covenant Church. Thank you so much!
