Covenant ASP Team Gets Ramped Up in Return to Knott County

In July, the Covenant ASP team learned that the family we served in Knott County, Kentucky had requested a ramp to enter and exit their home. This ramp represented independence, agency, and safety, and thanks to ASP, Covenant was able to return to make this prayer a reality.

Pam and Tim, who left an indelible impression on our crew in July, were eager to see Covenant return. They checked on our progress daily and graciously provided a coffee station and water each day as we worked. At the end of four long days full of near-nonstop work and threats of heavy rain, we invited Pam and Tim to admire the 80-foot ramp for which they – and Covenant alike – had prayed. There is work that remains to complete the railings, which will be completed by an incoming group. In physical and spiritual ways, this trip created a bridge to community, between Pam and Tim, Covenant, and the greater East Kentucky community. We are grateful to have deepened our connection with them, and grateful for the hands and hearts that made this trip possible.
