Helping ASP is as Easy as Pie!

Get homemade pies for Thanksgiving and help repair homes for families in need.

Covenant’s Appalachia Service Project (ASP) team is holding our annual fall pie sale.  We’re selling delicious pies from Weaver’s Orchard in these scrumptious varieties: Apple Caramel Walnut, Apple Lattice Top, Cherry Lattice Top, Blackberry Lattice Top, Strawberry Rhubarb, Peach Crust and Pumpkin!

These pies are made with real fresh fruit (not just a filling) and are free of trans fats, hydrogenated oils, and corn syrup.  Only real sugars and spices are used.  They are mixed in small batches and have nice flaky crusts “just like Grandma used to make.”  Pies come frozen with simple baking instructions so they can be kept, then cooked and served at any time.

Place an order online, or using an order form.  Please place your order by Monday, November 6th.  Pies will be available for pick up on Saturday, November 18th from noon to 2:00 pm at the church.  We will accept cash, credit cards, & checks payable to “Covenant UMC”.  If you miss the ordering deadline, check with us on the 18th, we will have some extra.

Plus, Make a Local Family’s Thanksgiving Sweet!

This year, we’re partnering with the Shorter AME Church Food Pantry in Morton.  On Friday, November 17th, Shorter will provide meal packages to local families for Thanksgiving.  You can help make a local family’s Thanksgiving dinner sweeter by purchasing a pumpkin pie to be donated to Shorter’s Thanksgiving food program and included in their meal package.  These orders must be in by Sunday, November 5th.

All proceeds benefit the Covenant Appalachia Service Project team.  We thank you for your support!
