Our Fall 2022 ASP Trip to Lee County Virginia

During the first week of November, the Covenant Appalachia Service Project team sent a crew to Jonesville Virginia to serve in ASP’s year-round program. The crew of volunteers Gerg, Lori Corner, Rich Debany, Todd Gallagher, Tom Hiscott, Victoria Hiscott and Bryce Munce had the pleasure of spending three days with homeowners Lori and Norman who enthusiastically shared stories of life in the mountains on the border between Virginia and Kentucky. During those three days, this small but mighty crew removed a porch and fashioned a hardy new porch, stairs and ramp to make it easier and safer for Lori and Norman to come and go – and almost completed it. Along the way, they enjoyed lots of challenges, laughs, fun, and faith with prayers and a fried chicken lunch from Lori and Norman. Thank you for your ongoing support of the ASP team and our continuing mission.
