In 1986, the Chancel Choir gave a set of four pottery communion cups and plates in memory of Millie Stretton. Millie was a member of the Chancel Choir for many years. The set was made by potter, Suzanne Kent, a former member of Covenant. The two cups displayed are the only cups remaining of the original four. The original plates are still intact. This Communion Set will be used during the service on Sunday, April 3, 2022.
On June 5th, Covenant’s 100th Pentecost, members with 50 or more years of continuous membership were honored. During the service those in attendance were recognized (see photo below). All were acknowledged in the bulletin insert (see below) and received a special gift. See photos below from the reception that followed.
Covenant’s last 25 years were years of celebration paired with service. This period began with Covenant’s 75th Anniversary Celebration, which included the renovation of a Habitat for Humanity house in Chester as part of Covenant’s Miracles in Missions.
